Civic Park Movie night, put on by the lovely people at the City of Tea Tree Gully was a wonderful evening for families to come out and enjoy a free movie in the community in Civic Park, Modbury.
Tonight's movie was The Croods: New Age (Synopsis: While looking for a home, the Croods stumble into the walled land owned by the Betterman family. They are looked down upon by the technologically advanced Bettermans but help them during a crisis.)
There was some trepidation leading up to this event in regards to the weather with a big storm front heading directly at the northern suburbs. Fortunately this held off long to allow tonight to proceed. Unfortunately tomorrows movie night Space Jam: A New Legacy had to be cancelled due to the torrential rains.
Some late night snacks were on offer with both ice cream and poffertjes available for purchase (very nice :D) and these were much appreciated. Once the lights went out at about 8:45pm the Croods started and entertained us for about an hour and a half by then there were many sleepy kids (and adults) ready to go home and to bed.
All in all it was a wonderful evening, a wonderfully run event and I hope to be able to work with the City of Tea Tree Gully again in the future.
