FIFA Unity Pitch @ Glenelg

The FIFA Unity Pitch Event: Bringing People Together Through the Love of the Game Football is more than just a sport; it brings people together from all walks of life and creates a sense of community. The FIFA Unity Pitch event at Colley Reserve in Glenelg was a testament to this fact. This unique event was organized by the FIFA and aimed to bring together people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to celebrate the beautiful game and promote unity and inclusion.

This event was run over 5 days and included many local teams including Australian Blind Football 4 All, or ABF4ALL the local blind soccer team which had a great time showing off their skills despite the windy conditions. Over the weekend Glenelg will also play host to the Night Markets, the Women’s Tour Down Under and Beach Volleyball Championships, All Holden Car Show and the Glenelg Ice Cream Festival - so it’s going to be a HUGE time!!

Outside of the planned training session from the local clubs there were many walk in players of all ages and they showed great sportsperson ship despite their size differences.

In order to run the FIFA Women's Leagues 5 matches later in the year at Hindmarsh Stadium there is a need for about 450 volunteers in all. You will be well trained, looked after and kitted out in full Adidas swag for the event.

A fantastic event and a good time was had by all with wonderful feedback from patrons and staff.
