Hahndorf Oktoberfest

The Hahndorf Oktoberfest is on again this year being held at the Mount Barker Showgrounds due to the torrential rain washing out Alec Johnston Park in Hahndorf.
Operating on the 15/10/22 from 11:30 - 4:30 the Hahndorf Oktoberfest event is even bigger and better then last year going from 1,000 tickets sold to just over 1,500 with a bigger area, larger bar, more seating, live bands, dancing, competitions and so much more.
Copious amounts of German beer was poured by again this year with so many bar tenders available the good stuff kept flowing. Custom leatherworking by LHOH included drinking horns which turned out to be quire popular.
The drinking area hosted a slew of German themed decorations as well as live acts on stage to keep everyone entertained. Other acts were spaced out across the venue including various German musical groups. There was also carnival attractions including VR Roller Coasters, balloon animals and mini golf to keep everyone entertained.
Foods included the required Wieners, Smoked meats, Mettwurst and Fairy floss.
All in all a great day was had by all and we are all looking forward to it being bigger and better next year.
