Living Landscapes Writers Festival

The Living Landscapes writers festival kicked of with an open family day on the 2nd Sunday of April from 10:00 - 16:00 at the Hart's Mill Precinct in Port Adelaide. You could not have asked for better weather with a cool 23C and partly cloudy with a slight breeze making the whole day a joy to be out and about.

Bringing together renowned nature writers and thinkers, the inaugural festival will focus on both the written and the spoken word in interrogating our relationship with nature. You'll have the opportunity to listen to your favourite writer, learn about the craft of nature writing and uncover new ideas and inspiration.

Saturday's free family fun at the Hart's Mill Precinct was packed with arts and nature activities, workshops and maker spaces. Highlights included learning to draw a pelican with Mandy Foot and making a sunflower bee bomb with Nature Play SA.

There was a great turnout with lots of fun had by all ages. See you again next year.
