Hahndorf Oktoberfest

The Hahndorf Oktoberfest is being run for the first time by Adelaide Event and Festival Services on Saturday the 16th of Oktober at Alec Johnston Park in Hahndorf.

Operating from 11am - 4pm the Hahndorf Oktoberfest event is something that has been sorely missed by the local community judging by how quickly the 1,000 limited tickets sold out.

Copious amounts of German beer was poured by the Shifty Lizard Tavern but no matter how fast they could serve it out the line of patrons wanting more never shrank.

The undercover drinking area hosted a slew of German themed decorations as well as live acts on stage to keep everyone entertained. Other acts were spaced out across the venue including various German musical and dance groups. There was also the local playground, carnival attractions, balloon animals and mini golf to keep everyone entertained.

Foods included the required Wieners, Smoked meats, Mettwurst and Fairy floss.

All in all a great day was had by all and we are all looking forward to it being bigger and better next year.
