Muddy Hands Festival

The Muddy Hands Festival, hosted by the City of Tea Tree Gully in partnership with Nature Play SA was a fantastic day of fun and squeals of laughter. Held on Friday the 8th of October at Goldfields Reserve, Golden Grove there were 3 sessions for the day for this free ticketed event.

Some of the activities included potions and natural parts tinkering, making seed bombs, geo-caching, making bee hotels, education sessions about Aborigional history and culture, the Cancer Council were on site for all of our Slip, Slop Slap, Wrap needs, education sessions about flora and fauna native to Golden Grove... and then there were the mud pits :).

Food included curry and nan bread from Beyond India, ice creams as well as hot dogs from

Nature's Artisan Ice Cream as well as the always essential coffee supplied by Espresso Mobile Cafe.

The large mud pits were available for some full body skin treatments. Some children were a bit hesitant to get in but once they did they had a heap of fun. Head to toe brown was the common phrase for the day with Andy's Water Transport on site with cold showers and a hose to try to get some of the mud off afterwards.

All in all it was a fantastic day and a well organized event. I hope to see you all again in the future.
